Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do private lessons work?

Private lessons are limited to 1 student per class (AGES 3-17). The fee is $80 per child. Each session consists of four 20-minute swim lessons. Lessons will be Monday-Thursday of each week. Friday will be used if we need to reschedule lessons due to bad weather.

  • What is your cancelled/missed lessons policy?

Missed lessons are non-refundable and CANNOT be made up. Please understand this policy and do not ask for special consideration if you have to miss any lessons.

  • Should my child wear goggles?

Goggles are optional. If your child wishes to wear goggles they should have anti-fog, high quality swim goggles. We personally like Speedo brand goggles. Inexpensive goggles do not fit their eyes well and allow water to seep in. We do not want to spend instruction time constantly adjusting bad goggles.

  • How early should I arrive to my child's lesson?

Please arrive 5 minutes early to your scheduled lesson time. If your child is 6 years old or younger we require that you stay for their lesson.

  • Can parents watch lessons?

Yes! We would love for you to watch, but please be seated on our deck, no one will be allowed to sit near the pool.

  • How warm is the pool?

The pool is kept at at warm 84-90 degrees. Just depends on how the outside weather is.

  • What if my child screams/cries during lessons?

We understand swimming can be difficult. Our instructors are well equipped to deal with crying children. If crying turns into screaming you child will be asked to sit out for the day.

  • What do I do when my child is sick?

If your child is feeling under the weather or shows any symptoms of sickness including diarrhea, please keep them home.

  • Does my child need to be potty trained?

No, but they must wear a swim diaper.
